The Black Rat Rideout -
Sunday, 19 September 2010
The Black Rat Fund is immensely grateful to the following organisations who are supporting the Rideout so generously... please take the time to read about how they are helping us.
We want to draw your attention to the following organisations - many of whom have supported us greatly in the past, and indeed continue to do so.
Without their valuable assistance and financial support we would not be able to put on some of the events we run, or provide the same level of welfare support to the Black Rats.
You can visit the websites of the organisations below by clicking on their logo.

A personal message from Phil Jepps, Regional Director, Balfour Beatty Workplace...
"Balfour Beatty Workplace, North Yorkshire contract, is proud to be supporting the Black Rat rally and rideout taking place on 19th September 2010. It is an opportunity for us all to acknowledge the hard work, dedication and personal sacrifice of our armed forces serving in Afghanistan.
Members of our North Yorkshire team will be taking part in the rally as riders and also working on sections of the traffic management through Richmond.
We wish everyone a successful day, keep safe and happy riding."
Phil Jepps
Balfour Beatty WorkPlace are providing a significant amount of our traffic management requirements for the Rideout - and are doing it completely free of charge!
We cannot express how grateful we are to this organisation for their incredible support of this event. The savings they have given us on our organisation costs are immense and it means that we will have more money to put into the Fund to support our soldiers. Our message to everyone at Balfour Beatty WorkPlace is that we simply cannot thank you enough!

Motif8 are supplying the majority of our Rideout Merchandise at extremely low cost to the Fund - in many instances at below cost price to themselves.
Without this generous support, which amounts to many thousands of pounds, we would not be able to offer you such wonderful tee-shirts, patches and other items at such great prices, and with such a large proportion of the sales price going into the Fund. The whole team at Motif8, including the Directors, Sian and Chris, have really been incredible and have worked so hard to get our merchandise designed and produced. We hope all the team at Motif8 will accept our thanks and sincere gratitude!

Mark Page and his team - with a special mention for Hal Stewart and all at Garrison FM in Catterick Garrison - have been staunch supporters of The Black Rat Fund from the beginning. With the Rideout they have been absolutely wonderful, including helping our organisers record their own adverts and promos. Their broadcasts to the Garrison help us keep in touch with the families, and provides us with a very valuable way of communicating our latest news.
You can listen to Catterick Garrison FM for Catterick by clicking on the link above. You can also tune in to all the other stations that broadcast to other British Army Garrisons around the UK.
Charity Registration Number: The Black Rat Fund is currently an Excepted Charity as such does not hold a Charity Registration Number. However, we are still regulated and supervised by the Charity Commission, and comply with all the standards of practice that they require.
