From the South travelling North from Leeming Bar, exit at the junction sign posted for Marne Barracks and keep following the signs.

3.        Hi Visability Clothing

Riders are asked not to wear Hi Viz vests during the rideout itself because this denotes the official outriders for the event.

4.        Rideout Formation

When leaving on the Rideout from Marne Barracks we would ask all riders to keep in a staggered position on the ride ie rider 1 near the kerb with the following rider keeping a safe distance behind and riding slightly off side. The next rider goes back to the near side and so on as shown below.

5.
Speed Limits

Speed limits must be obeyed at all times and any offenders will be prosecuted by the police who will be in attendance throughout the area.

6.        Noise

Avoid unnecessary revving and sounding of horns whilst riding through towns and villages.

IN CASE OF EMERGENCIES

7.        Breakdown / Road Traffic Accident

In the event of a breakdown or RTA the police and official outriders riding with your group will have mobile phones and will stop to assist you. Please remain with your bike until assistance is given.

Do not stop to assist other riders.

8.        Running out of petrol

PLEASE DON'T!

(WE CAN'T HELP YOU IF YOU DO!)

MAKE SURE YOUR TANK IS

FULL BEFORE YOU ARRIVE!

9.        Scotch Corner Release Point

Look for the signs just prior to reaching Scotch Corner where the police support riders and our official outriders will peel off without stopping.  You are encouraged to clear the area of Scotch Corner as soon as possible.

10.        On Dispersal

If returning to Richmond after the ride please avoid using routes coming in from the east, i.e. via Skeeby Village.

We would like to remind all riders when leaving Richmond to be aware that the Richmondshire area is always busy on a Sunday with visitors and other road users. Please think about the manner in which you ride and do not be tempted to ride beyond your capabilities.

Enjoy the day but share the road.

A Final Word of Caution!

It is likely that temporary speed cameras will be setup in the surrounding area.  Most of the local roads have clearly displayed speed limits.  Don’t spoil your day by getting a ticket either on your way to the Rally or on the way home.
